The Industry

With about 53,000 employees in Germany (2008) and a turnover of about 9.5 billion Euro in 2009, the industry is one of the leading sectors within the machinery industry. The companies offer their products worldwide and have sales offices, production sites and representative offices all around the globe. Export activities are its main economic pillar. Export quota is 72 per cent on average, in some sub-branches it even tops 90 per cent. Together with the USA and Japan, Germany belongs to the three leading suppliers of construction equipment and building material machinery worldwide. Many a German company is market and/or technology leader in her field of expertise, e.g. when it comes to concrete, tunnelling and road construction technologies. The industry’s product range:

The Association

Our Association is network and partner of the industry, its spokesman, service provider, information broker and advisor. We offer an outstanding platform for exchange, provide business contacts, market and industry information and are the point of information for enquiries on the German construction equipment and building material machinery sector. We also support leading trade shows like bauma, glasstec or ceramitec and we help to organise German pavilions at trade shows all around the globe.
