German fluid power industry is one of the most important parts and components industries in global mechanical and equipment manufacturing field. The technically advanced products ranging from simple components, parts, module sub-systems to complicated equipments are incorporated into machines, production lines and equipments for a wide range of sectors. The most important products include cylinders, valves, pumps, motors, filters, tubes, controllers, and sensors.
German fluid power industry is undoubtedly the most successful industrial sector of Germany today, as well as the technical leader of the world, taking a leading position in terms of both export and innovation. Many German enterprises take dominant places in the world market. Through the efforts of many years, this industry grows and develops, with its export rate increased to 51%. In international trade, among every three fluid power products, there is one coming from Germany.
The VDMA Fluid Power Association also conducts joint scientific research through fluid power research fund. With regard to international cooperation, the association works as the secretariat for the European association CETOP (www.cetop.org) and the International Fluid Power Statistics (ISC).
