As a supplier of core parts for any industrial application, power transmission engineering is the most important supplier of basic technology for the entire industry. The VDMA Power Transmission Engineering association represent around 170 German members, which account for about 80 % total sales revenue of the industry in Germany. The association also supports their members to face the existing challenges.
The VDMA Power Transmission Association also conducts joint scientific research through FVA power transmission research federation. With regard to international cooperation, the association corresponds European industrial association EUROTRANS (EUROPEAN COMMITTEE OF ASSOCIATIONS OF MANUFACTURERS OF GEARS AND TRANSMISSION PARTS - www.euro-trans.org ) and holds the General Secretariat.
