As an amalgamation of Germany’s manufacturers of woodworking machines, the German Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers Association represents the interests of the industry at both national and international level.

The association's activities cover the transfer of information about new technologies and services to companies in the wood industries as well as the representation of the members' interests regarding economic policy and technology. Our scope also includes the organisation of research projects and seminars. Last but not least, we are co-organizers of LIGNA+ — World Fair for the Forestry and Wood Industries — in Hanover, as well as HOLZ-HANDWERK — European Trade Fair for Machinery and Manufacturing Supplies — in Nuremberg.
