VDMA

With over 3,000 corporate members and more than 400 dedicated professionals at its head office in Frankfurt/Main, VDMA (German Engineering Federation) is Europe’s largest and most important industrial organization for the capital goods industry. VDMA is divided into 37 engineering sub-sectors and provides intersectoral forums, committees and workgroups for joint activities. Local associations in Germany’s various regions ensure direct contact with members and relevant individuals within the respective state governments. Particularly in the capital Berlin and at the EU in Brussels, VDMA fosters direct political dialogue. In addition, VDMA has set up contact points and service centers for its members in markets of high economic significance such as China, India, Japan and Russia.

VDMA Beijing Office

VDMA’s Beijing Office was founded in November 2004. It is supported by the executive management board, the foreign trade section and the following VDMA associations:

Tasks & Services

The VDMA’s main objective is to create a network in China, providing VDMA member companies in China with active support and guidance. The focus is on the afore-mentioned associations and their respective member companies.

We offer the following services for VDMA member companies:

Supporting the interests of VDMA member companies by establishing and intensifying business relationships between the VDMA and the Chinese Government, both centrally and regionally; contacts to Chinese authorities, institutions and relevant trade and professional associations;
Information on Chinese business partners, research on potential business partners, market analysis reports
Information on relevant economic laws, guidelines and regulations in China, as well as specific projects and tenders
Trade show information and support, establishment of a contact network to domestic and foreign trade show organizers

Team

The VDMA offices in Beijing and Shanghai are headed by Ms Gudrun Seitz. Including ten highly qualified and experienced engineers, economists and marketing experts for the China market, the team can communicate easily in German, English and Chinese. More...
